Position Description:
Overall Roles and Responsibilities
Summary
Performs a variety of inspection tasks to determine compliance including receiving, in process and final inspection of parts, subassemblies and finished assembled products.
Essential Functions
General responsibilities are including but not limited to:
- Receiving inspection of OEM product (assemblies, finished wellhead components, and spares)
- Visual and dimensional inspection of wellhead and valve components
- Processing Nonconformance Reports (NCR) at location
- Assisting with Field Performance Report (FPR) investigations
- Processing Engineering Change Notices (ECN) including inspecting inventory and processing NCR’s
- Completes branch quality documentation accurately and legibly
- Maintaining calibration of branch Measurement and Test Equipment
- Performing routine inspection of Service Tools
- Perform documentation review on OEM component data books
- Performing other related duties as assigned or requested
Education, Training, Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Three or more years wellhead or valve manufacturing experience is preferred in quality control and/or machining, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
None required
Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Working knowledge of Quality Systems, Mechanical, Electronic and Hydraulic experience.
Proficient in dimensional inspection of wellhead and valve components.
Must understand, use and properly apply dimensional inspection equipment such as tape measures, scales, OD and ID micrometers, calipers, depth gages, thread inspection equipment of all types.
Ability to read and interpret wellhead and valve component engineering drawings, Basic Computer Skills, Basic Language Skills, Strong Mathematical Skills, and Basic Reasoning Ability.
Must perform and pass an annual eye test.
