Job Description
Responsible for coordinating customer product needs and obtaining orders for Surface Wellhead equipment/systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
- Promptly enter sales orders in Fishbowl.
- Perform same day source planning on hook up and/or additional customer requirements.
- Ensure the accuracy of open sales orders.
- Establish strategic relationships with new and existing customers. Provide reports on sales activity, sales forecasts and other quantifiable sales objective measurements to management.
- Seek and identify substitutions for quoted equipment that is not on hand/inventory. Utilize excess or slow moving inventory within standard operating procedures.
- Effectively manage and utilize customer property within customer requirements.
- Communicate changes and/or cancellations to customer requirements and delivery issues to supply chain and Supervisor.
- Maintain rig board to allow visibility of current customer requirements by active rig, equipment type, state of preparedness and expected ship date.
- Proactively pursue compensation for expediting charges incurred through sales prior to manufacturing or shipping.
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings.
- Ensure and secure adequate and proper back-up parts and equipment on service jobs and communicate accurate information to the Service Department.
- Provide input and assistance to other functional areas in order to improve processes and customer satisfaction levels.
- Keep abreast of new products, specifications and industry trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses.
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Working knowledge of drilling/production and equipment
- Intermediate computer skills
- Intermediate language skills, intermediate mathematical skills and intermediate reasoning and critical thinking ability
